The following is a summary of a tracking system that we have developed through working with HMI colleagues over the last two years in two schools that were in special measures.
The spreadsheat is simply a summary of assessment data showing targets, progress and attainment and making for easy comparison in an easily read format. An issue that HMI specifically required was that the information should all be on one page making for easy comparison (he hated going into schools and being presented with pages and pages of data and graphs).
The latest spreadsheet is basically complete except for the end of year group analysis sheets (we have made a start in automating the Ofsted judgements). The completed group analysis sheets will be available to download on this webpage when they are actually completed. Use the spreadsheet below. It will be very simple to just copy the two groups analysis tabs into the spreadsheet later.
The password to make changes and bypass the protection feature is "bollox" because of course it is - all a load of...
This relates back to a standard joke we had many years ago and a password we had to stick with it and of course, now that we are all (slightly) more grown up - it frequently comes back to haunt us!
We are currently trying to automate (as much as is possible) of this spreadsheet in SIMS. If you are a SIMS user, please contact us as we are trying to share out the development costs. One school in Brent is spending approximately £800 / day in getting a SIMS consultant in to set up their Assessment Manager.
