Trainpix.com was the first railfan website that I came across and would use on a regular basis. Chalre's was also the first rail photographer to grant permission for me to use his images on this website.

The Photo Archives section of the website are very useful for modellers of the BNSF / BN / ATSF with photos listed in roster order and makes it one of my favourite railfan websites. When modelling a specific locomotove, this is my first stopping point for references. Each model / class is listed with Road Numbers providing a link to a schedule of all of the locomotives in that class. This schedule provides details of build number, date built, previous road numbers, rebuild dates and the date when the locomotive was eventually retired. The links to the archives ( BNSF, BN, ATSF) are at the top of the homepage and can easily be missed.
Charles has a number of contibuting photographers that help make the site an historical document rather than simply a railfan website. The photos on the website are quite large which provide much detail for the modeller.

The "Party Favours" is an interesting concept. Basically, each year Charles produces a disk / collection of photos for general consumption. I'm not sure of the origins but it keeps me happy! I can't imagine modelling the BNSF without this site.
